I am a university student majoring in French Studies and I love to play ultimate frisbee. For the last four years, I have been working part-time at Starbucks Canada as a barista. I have learned so many valuable lessons and improved so many skills related to teamwork, time management, multi-tasking, and customer service.
With the recent COVID-19 outbreak, I have found a passion and interest in digital art, while quarantined at home. I began by drawing a 2-figure illustration, which took me about 6 hours to complete, between trying to figure out how to use Adobe Illustrator and drawing from the trackpad on my MacBook Pro. Within the next week, I created a couple more drawings for my friends. As a way to connect with friends and acquaintances on social media, I began sharing completed artwork on my Instagram (@yvonnefu21). Soon, I started receiving requests for custom illustrations. I was then gifted a Huion 610Pro V2 tablet, which made drawing a lot easier and faster. Afterwards, I came upon the Affinity Designer app, which works very similarly to Adobe Illustrator, but at a fraction of its cost.
